A few weeks back, Soldiers Rd got given an amazing opportunity to be involved in an up and coming show soon to be aired on TV2. Off to Christchurch we flew for the day to style, photograph and be apart of the filming for the opening credits of 2Kaha, a show aimed at our rangatahi (but ideally for everyone) highlighting anything hip, cool and positively Maori. Each week Tumehe and Serena (the awesome husband and wife duo sitting front and centre of this pic) will be joined on the couch with inspirational and successful Maori, giving viewers the lowdown on what they do.
We were able to meet some cool people in the process of making the opening credits, and it was the first time Soldiers Rd was hired by a production company to do work on this scale. For that we are so grateful, here’s hoping there is more of that fun stuff to come.
It’s important that we get behind our talented Maori who are out there trying to make a positive difference. So everybody peeping this head to http://www.facebook.com/2KAHA and like the page. They have competitions already (the show hasn’t even aired yet!) and the first being a trip to Samoa to be won. Who doesn’t want to fly to a tropical island and escape the wind and rain?! So head there and like away whanau.
2KAHA airs on TV2 at 10am this Saturday (16th August 2014)
